Juli Koenegstein Places 10th In Bradley Invitational

Peoria, Ill. - Southeast Missouri State junior Juli Koenegstein placed 10th out of over 130 runners in the 17 team Bradley Invitational on Friday. Koenegstein led the Southeast women to a 13th place finish in the 17 team field that was led by the University of Missouri. She posted a time of 21:34 in the race. Freshman Monica Noble (St.. Charles, Mo.) finished 68th at a time of 23:05 and junior Esther Mathias (Kansas City, Mo.) posted a time of 23:18 to finish 81st. Sophomore Linnea Woldvedt (Cape Girardeau, Mo.) placed 92nd at a time of 23:33, freshman Kasey Owens (Eureka, Mo.) finished 99th with a time of 23:39 and freshman Laura Gosen (Chesterfield, Mo.) captured 107th at a time of 23:55.
The Southeast men's team finished 8th out of 15 teams with Brandon Funderburk leading the way with a 19th place finish at a time of 25:25. Junior Brandon Karcher (Mt. Vernon, Ill.) placed 33rd with a time of 25:47, sophomore Dustin Davis (Edwardsville, Ill.) finished 42nd at a time of 25:56 and freshman Jason Lumpkin (Ballwin, Mo.) placed 69th with a time of 26:20. Freshman Chris Loseman (St. Charles, Mo.) captured 82nd place with a time of 26:44 and senior Brad DeMattei (Centralia, Ill.) claimed 99th at a time of 27:03. Sophomore Paul Stemmerman (Eureka, Mo.) finished 109th with a time of 27:17. Southeast is back in action on Oct. 27 at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships in Birmingham, Ala. |
