Fisher Holds Her Own In 6-0 Loss to Team USA

When asked to describe how she felt after the game former Redhawks ace Elaine Fisher (St. Peters, MO/Francis Howell North) couldn't express her emotions in words but had no problem smiling ear-to-ear after her Amateur Softball Association (ASA) St. Louis All-Stars team fell 6-0 to the USA Softball Women's National Team at ABC Park in St. Ann, Missouri Thursday evening. The game was a part of the Team USA's Kentucky Fried Chicken "Bound 4 Beijing" Tour that showcases the greatest USA women's softball players as they play exhibition games against various collegiate and All-Star teams throughout the country.

Elaine Fisher Selected to Pitch Against USA Softball Team

Former Redhawks softball pitcher Elaine Fisher (St. Peters, MO/Francis Howell North) was selected to the St. Louis All Star team that will face the USA Softball National Team in an exhibition game in St. Ann, Missouri on Thursday, June 12. The game is a part of the ASA Softball/USA Softball Bound 4 Beijing Tour that will help the US National Team in preparation for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Megan McDonald Selected CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII First Team

The awards and honors continue to come in for senior Redhawks softball player Megan McDonald (Cape Girardeau, MO/Cape Central) as she was named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII First Team for her achievements on the field and in the classroom. This is the first time McDonald has been honored with this prestigious award and is the first Redhawks softball player to achieve this honor since former teammate Kelly Birk was named All-District in 2004.
